The medical care that we take for granted in the United States is not readily available in the Northern Himalayan mountains of India. In order to better meet the medical needs of the people of this area, Pastor Nandu has put together a number of free medical clinics. Depending on interest and availability of volunteers and resources, there are plans for holding another medical clinic in October of 2008.

Determining the location of the clinic, filing the necessary governmental paperwork, gathering medicines and other medical supplies, putting together a staff of medical professionals, the logistics involved in getting the word out to the villages and for running the clinic, along with making travel plans, getting the proper Visas and our own health checks, will all take a year of planning in order to bring together a successful medical clinic. The planning will begin in earnest in October of 2007. However it’s not too early to begin thinking about your involvement.   Click to Enlarge

The provisions needed will include medications, vitamins, and dressing supplies.  A comprehensive list of provisions for this region will be posted as the time draws near. If you are a medical professional or work for a pharmaceutical or medical supply company and have a heart for medical missions, please prayfully consider what role God would have you play in this upcoming clinic.

If you are led to participate you will find the people you will be serving to be loving and very appreciative of your efforts. You will come away a changed person.
